Website investigation

The relationship between all the websites and magazines is very clear, easily recognized and matched. Readers are able to easily realise which website belongs to which magazine without having to see the name of the brand. This is completed by having very similar typography for example, Vogue uses Didot on both the front covers of their magazines and the website or having similar photos that are used in the latest editions on the front covers too.
Throughout all the magazine websites, their social media is promoted on every page at the top mainly and when you scroll down their social media are linked with them. Each website have each social media that is mainly used such as big social media platforms like Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter.
The websites I looked up had very similar features; all simple and basic with easy fonts that were readable and had decent sizes. All these have a significant effects as it makes it easier to use and to get around when using the website. All the websites reflected their latest edition by having similar photos on the front covers of their magazines and their front page of the website.

NEA Brief

Brief

For my A Level Media Studies NEA, I have been asked to produce magazine front covers for 2 different editions that are published at different times. Both front covers must at least include two different social groups. The front covers must also have single page spread content pages for both editions, with the cohesion of the theme its based on. Along with the front covers and contents page, I must create a web page with one hyperlink that promotes the new magazine that will be published and launched by Bauer. They intent to sell the magazines in retail. The magazine I’m planning on producing is aimed at 16-25 class AB demographic who are interested in fashion and beauty.

I intent on producing a magazine based on Indian brides during the Autumn and Winter season. However, as extra research I completed, I found out that other than Hinduism, Islam is the next big religion practiced in India. Therefore, I decided to feature these two different social group by having them as my front covers on one of the editions. For future research I researched about the importance of the Bindi in the Hindu culture. I decided I wanted to include this on my Hindu model in order to give an accurate representation of the brides from India. The importance of gold and jewelry for the brides on their wedding is a traditional act therefore I intent to feature any articles or tips on the front cover of my magazine. This helps promote the magazine even further and he target audience as girls/women in there early 20s tend to marry as Asian culture. The model will be wearing expensive clothing and jewelry as it is targeted at AB demographic social groups.

These are the consent forms of my models from both editions.
